Before Zambia Garden of Hope
In July 2021, while the Dean Jarman family was together on vacation as Covid-19 restrictions were lifting in the United States, Dominic was in need of food for the elderly in his Village as they were still shut down and food was scarce. A few family members pulled resources together to help Dominic. It was following this, that Dominic had the idea of the garden for a steady source of food. These family members continued to donate to the initial cost of the garden from drilling for water, the water tank, solar panels, irrigation, fencing, shelter and initial planting. As the needs of a successful producing garden grew, so did the generosity of friends and family members. With the realization of what was needed for this garden to properly take care of the Dominics garden community, Jay and Julie Robb created a 501c3 charity to fulfill the mission and hopes of Dominic and his Mukuni village. This charity is now Zambia Garden of Hope, Inc.
